Thought For The Day

You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind.

I have a lot of work to get done today (so I will be sitting a lot). I am hoping this quote will help me do the physical work instead of mulling it over in my mind.

I eventually felt better yesterday once I socialised with my family, and helped someone else.  It is amazing at what a good feeling you can get from giving your ideas and time to someone else or just by lending them an ear.  Something I feel that has been lost in our society.

Today brings me a lot of work I need to catch up with, so I am going to get on with it.  My way of getting on with things is: write a list or several lists (for example if you are studying more than one subject) and then in each one specify what bits of work need to be done for each subject, how long they will take and when they are due.  Then I work my timetable around that.

Last night I also managed to catch a new motivation for my new and improved blog, and have chosen a new name: Less = More with an underwriting of something like Downshifting can be uplifting, or living simply in London...or a mix of those two.  I have been designing and learning lots on Illustrator and found this tutorial helpful in creating a pattern for my text.

I have lots of great ideas for the new blog and am excited. Seeing as I have lots of essay's set, I am going to put them first and set my self a deadline of the end of November for the blog.
